The DISCIPLE Bible Study program is designed to develop strong Christian leaders, focusing on
the disciple as learner, believer, follower, proclaimer, and servant. The program also provides the fellowship of a small group for study, prayer, preparation, support, and servanthood.

DISCIPLE groups consist of 8 to 14 members and a designated facilitator, meeting weekly for approximately two hours for 32 to 34 weeks. As part of the instruction, class sessions use either VHS or DVD format prepared by outstanding Bible scholars. DISCIPLE classes promote fellowship and nourish personal relationships of the group members.

Short-Term DISCIPLE Bible Studies
FUMC-Allen offers two eight-week studies of the Old and New Testaments. These in-depth Bible studies are modeled after the basic design of the DISCIPLE Bible Study Program. A two-part video segment guides the session with interpretive presentations from biblical scholars, contextual presentations, and discussions.
