Wild West Fall Fest
Families celebrate the fun of fall at church festival
More than 500 children, adults, and teens enjoyed the Wild West Fall Fest, October 21, at First United Methodist Church of Allen. Volunteers transformed the first floor of the church into a carnival atmosphere of games, featuring Bible heroes, bounce houses, a hay ride in the parking lot, and a s'mores bakery. Cowboy clown Sonny Beach provided yo-yo entertainment, and children played games and collected a wide assortment of candy as their reward. Sunday school classes, bible study groups, sixth grade confirmands, youth volunteers, and Boy Scout Troops 306 and 328 all pitched in to make it a memorable afternoon of celebration of the cooler weather and fall harvest.
