Children's Ministry offers Worship Readiness classes this fall for children entering 2nd and 3rd grades.  This class helps children begin to understand and become familiar with the worship service they attend so that they may become active participants in the service.  During this study, we examine the different parts of worship and learn about the sacraments of baptism and communion, study the Lord’s Prayer, and discover the seasons of the church.

Worship Readiness classes begin Sunday, September 23, 2007, with a graduation ceremony in late April or early May 2008.  Children should attend class during the same hour that they would worship with their families so that the class will reflect that style of worship.  This also allows children to participate in their normal Sunday school activities before or after this hour of worship.

Register your child for Worship Readiness at a sign-up table in the gathering area beginning August 12.   We are need volunteers to help lead these classes and substitute when leaders can’t be present.  Prayerfully consider serving in this incredible ministry to our children.  Contact Jilane Carper, Laurie Ottinger, or call 972.396.9053.
