Great Adventure Weekend Update

The late nights and early mornings were worth the tired days. GAW really made me feel closer to God. It was one of my first times I had not only been with Junior High. I actually felt a part of a Youth Group and not just a part of Junior High.This was my first GAW and it definitely won’t be my last. I come to church every Sunday and I come to Youth, but at GAW everything’s different. During family groups I felt very connected with what we were talking about. And during the bonfire I could barely hold back the tears. It was so amazing, just to listen to what everyone was saying and to watch our nametags and our sins burn away. In the morning when we were forgiven I could feel the tears running down my face as I hugged Ms. Dana and Mr. Randy, my family group leaders, goodbye. I love my church, GAW, mission trip, and just everything else. I am finally now learning what God really means to me. I am glad I have the right people to teach me.
