Music Ministry

Music is a gift from God that we give back to God as praise. In Psalm 150, we see that all that have breath can serve God through music.

Music Ministry at FUMC Allen serves God through this gift of music. FUMC Allen offers a variety of ensembles for all ages and abilities.

The Chancel and DayBreak choirs are open to adults and high school youth with rehearsals on Sundays and Wednesdays.

We offer a variety of handbell choirs for ringers of different ages and abilities. In addition, we have two children’s percussion ensembles and a youth orchestra that rehearse throughout the school year.We also offer a choir for young voices to praise God in song, and guitar lessons for both the new and experienced player.

Child care is provided during most adult choir rehearsals. Please check with your director to reserve a space for your child. To learn more about any music opportunity, contact Minister of Music, Rev. Rusty King or Assistant Director, Terry Fecht.

A full stage of nearly 20 musicians will provide the music for the evening as you rock out to songs by Bob Seeger, Jackson Browne, Electric Light Orchestra, Boz Scaggs, Marvin Gaye, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Santana, Joe Walsh, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many many more. You'll be singing along on every song, and once again be pleased by our most ambitious concert yet.
